Sell or Gift Your Stuff

If you no longer want a product that you own, sell it or give it away instead of throwing it in the trash. This way, the item is still used instead of someone needing to buy a brand-new one. Every product requires energy and resources to produce, so the fewer things we need to produce new, the better. You can list your stuff for sale at market price or just at a low price to get someone to take it off your hands. Either way, it’s much better than putting it in the trash. You can also give it away either on the Craigslist Free Stuff category or take to a Goodwill. Taking it to Goodwill allows you to write off the donation as a tax deduction.
